Don't you hate how dry your plants get once you go on a holiday? Worry not, here's a simple effective solution :
Remove the cap and cut off the bottom of a plastic bottle. Invert the bottle and fix the mouth into the soil in the pot. Fill this inverted bottle with water and allow your plants to be gradually watered when you are away for a few day.

Cut off the base of an empty plastic bottle and clean it out. Stuff in your yarn and pull strand through the mouth of the bottle. Tape the base back onto the bottle.
With winter here and your aunty knitting a sweater for you, this easy to make yarn holder will keep yarn from getting tangled while knitting or crocheting.
