The University of Kalyani has established this School of Interdisciplinary Studies (SoIS) from the session 2019-2020, which has introduced three M.Sc. courses in DATA SCIENCE, GENOME SCIENCE, and NANOSCIENCE & NANOTECHNOLOGY. The unique combination of these three Choice-based Credit Systems (CBCS)-based JOB-ORIENTED regular M.Sc. courses with industry-conducive curriculum comprising intensive practical and training under the same umbrella is the first-of-its-kind in the state of West Bengal, even in India.
