We all know that School is a second home.
However I also feel that School is a miniature Nation.
Today at the Prefects' Investiture Ceremony of La Martiniere for Girls, this feeling was reinforced.
We were fortunate to be a part of this ceremony and witnessed how efficiently the girls have been mentored for this occasion.
The Principal , teachers and the house masters and mistresses have made a commendable effort to make this event memorable especially for the outgoing students.
Parishi is blessed to be elected as a senior prefect of this heritage school of Kolkata, founded by Honourable Major General Claud Martin, posthumously in 1840, for an overall development of the students into good human beings.
The holy prayer by the Reverend Father, the hymns, before and after the oath taking, the inspiring speeches of the honoured Guest and the Principal, the official flag March, all together created an ambience of Service before self.
The young girls of the school, with the potential of becoming responsible citizens of the Nation move ahead stalwart with the blessings of Almighty.
