Heartfelt Congratulations!

We extend our warmest congratulations to Akankhya Riya Saikia and Ankita Bhuyan, students of the Department of Sociology, Jagannatha Barooah University, for their remarkable achievement as Best Paper Presenters at the State Level Students’ Seminar on Migration, Immigration and Socio-Demographic Change in Assam: Current Realities and Future Concerns, held on 13th November, 2025 at Jorhat Kendriya Mahavidyalaya.

Syed Abdul Malik Memorial Inter-Departmental Volleyball Tournament 2025 Concludes at Jagannath Barooah University. The Department of Economics clinched the championship title in the Girls’ section, while the Department of History emerged victorious in the Boys’ section. The Department of Sociology (Girls) and Department of Botany (Boys) finished as runners-up in their respective categories. Diksh*ta Kaushik of the Economics Department (Girls) and Jiten Loying of the History Department (Boys) were adjudged Best Players of the tournament by match referees Bijesh Das and Nitu Gogoi.
