NSS Volunteers of Sankrail Anil Biswas Smriti Mahavidyalaya, Jhargram, empowered by their passion for sustainability, actively contributed to the EEP on Eco Art, Quiz and Environmental Photography Exhibition under Mission Life Programme, organized by West Bengal Pollution Control Board, Department of Environment, Government of West Bengal, and Debra Thana Sahid Kshudiram Smriti Mahavidyalaya (Autonomous), Paschim Medinipur, fostering a community driven towards positive environmental change on 11.02.2026.

Sankrail Anil Biswas Smriti Mahavidyalaya, Jhargram celebrated the 77th Republic Day with due respect and great enthusiasm. Teachers, non-teaching staff, students, and NSS volunteers actively participated in the programme, reflecting a strong sense of patriotism and collective responsibility. The occasion was observed with dignity and solemnity, reaffirming the core values of democracy, unity, and constitutional ideals. The celebration fostered a spirit of national pride and unity among all present.

The NSS Cell of Sankrail Anil Biswas Smriti Mahavidyalaya observed the Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda as National Youth Day with due solemnity and enthusiasm at the college campus. On the same day, another group of NSS volunteers visited the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Satyaban Pally, Jhargram, to participate in the National Youth Day Convention 2026.

Day 7: 1 January 2026
The activities of Day 7 of the NSS Winter Special Camp were conducted at the college campus, with the active participation of NSS volunteers.
The day commenced with a campus cleaning activity, reflecting the volunteers’ continued commitment to cleanliness and discipline.
After breakfast, the volunteers shared their feedback and experiences regarding the seven-day camp, highlighting the learning outcomes and personal development gained through the programme.
In the post-lunch session, the valedictory programme was organised, during which mementoes were distributed among the volunteers. The occasion was marked by the celebration of the New Year, fostering a sense of unity and joy among all participants. The camp formally concluded with the lowering of the NSS flag.

Day 6: 31 December 2025

The activities of Day 6 of the NSS Winter Special Camp were conducted at the college campus and surrounding areas, with the active participation of NSS volunteers.

The day commenced with physical activities under the guidance of Mr. Prabal Giri, Non-teaching Staff, aimed at promoting physical fitness, discipline, and team spirit among the volunteers.

After breakfast, the volunteers organised an awareness rally and a road play on the proposed theme at the Kultikri Bus Stand. The volunteers also carried out a cleanliness drive at the bus stand and its surrounding areas, creating awareness among the general public.

In the post-lunch session, an awareness lecture on Cyber Security was delivered by the Sub-Inspector of the Cyber Police Station, Jhargram, at the college campus. The session was held in the presence of Prof. Debdulal Banerjee, NSS Programme Coordinator, Vidyasagar University, and the Block Development Officer, Sankrail Development Block, and proved to be highly informative for the volunteers.

Day 5: 30 December 2025

The activities of Day 5 of the NSS Winter Special Camp were conducted at the adopted village and surrounding areas, with the active participation of NSS volunteers.

The day commenced with physical activities under the guidance of Mr. Prabal Giri, Non-teaching Staff, aimed at promoting physical fitness, discipline, and team spirit among the volunteers.

After breakfast, the volunteers carried out a cleanliness drive at the college campus. Thereafter, a sit-and-draw competition was organised at the adopted village, encouraging creativity and awareness among the participants.

In the post-lunch session, a meditation class was organised at the college campus, followed by cultural activities, providing mental relaxation and promoting harmony, creativity, and active participation among the volunteers.
