प्रदेश की राज्यपाल श्रीमती आनंदीबेन पटेल ने 1857 के प्रथम भारतीय स्वतंत्रता संग्राम की अमर वीरांगना झाँसी की रानी लक्ष्मी बाई जी की जयंती पर शत्-शत् नमन अर्पित किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत की स्वतंत्रता–गाथा में रानी लक्ष्मी बाई का नाम साहस, स्वाभिमान और अदम्य देशभक्ति का उज्ज्वल प्रतीक है। मातृभूमि की रक्षा के लिए जिस निर्भीकता से उन्होंने तलवार संभाली, वह केवल इतिहास का अध्याय नहीं, बल्कि प्रत्येक भारतीय के हृदय में ज्वलंत प्रेरणा का स्रोत है।
