Loyola School, Telco Hosts MAGNOVA 2026 – Its First School Exhibition

What happens when classroom learning moves beyond textbooks? The answer came alive at MAGNOVA 2026, Loyola School, Telco’s first School Exhibition, which brought together students from Classes III to XI in a vibrant celebration of creativity, innovation and experiential learning.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Fr. Michael Thanaraj, Rector of Loyola Schools, as the Chief Guest, with Fr. Vinod Fernandes, Principal of Loyola School, Bistupur, as the Guest of Honour. Inspired by MAGIS, meaning “more,” and NOVA, symbolising something new and emerging, MAGNOVA reflected the spirit of exploring possibilities and transforming ideas into meaningful creations.

Students presented working models, experiments, interactive displays, cultural presentations, literary performances and technology-based projects across a wide range of subjects, including Indian Culture and Heritage, History, English Literature, Civics, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geography, Commerce, Economics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.

The Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics section was one of the major highlights of the exhibition and attracted considerable attention from visitors. It featured coding projects, web applications, Scratch and QBasic games, interactive activities, AI-based applications, humanoid robots, face-recognition systems and voice-recognition chatbots, offering glimpses of how students are using technology creatively and meaningfully.

Behind every exhibit was a journey of research, planning, designing, building, experimenting, programming, teamwork and presentation. This hands-on experience helped strengthen students’ confidence, creativity, communication, critical thinking, collaboration, research and problem-solving skills, while enabling them to connect classroom learning with real-life applications.

The successful conduct of MAGNOVA 2026 was made possible through the guidance and support of Principal Mrs. Charanjeet Ohson, Vice Principals Mrs. Reshma Rodrigues and Mrs. Zeenat Maria Sundi, Moderator Ms. Colleen Xavier and Administrator Fr. Gerry D’Souza, along with the dedicated efforts of the teachers and students. The presence and enthusiastic participation of thousands of parents and well-wishers added great encouragement and inspiration to the occasion.

MAGNOVA 2026 was more than an exhibition—it was a celebration of learning by doing, where young minds transformed knowledge into creativity, curiosity into discovery, and ideas into possibilities.
