Greenpeace is launching a series of Energy [R]evolution Challenges for boosting new
solutions. With this series, Greenpeace wants to further push its efforts for decentralized renewable energy solutions. THE CHALLENGE IS TITLED: A WATERSHED MOMENT IN INDIA. Greenpeace Challenge Series is an open platform to design an Innovative Solar pump kit which meets the need of millions of small farmers in Bihar, cutting down irrigation costs and also encouraging the uptake of micro-irrigation methods. Greenpeace is calling designers, tinkerers, inventors, students of all fields from all over the world, to join forces and design a breakthrough design. The challenge will start on September 03, 2013, and run until November 15, 2013 . Besides being able to work with innovators from around the world, participants would get a chance to win prizes worth €30,000 and turn their concept into a reality.
