DPS Nagbani Celebrates Cultural Fiesta



Jammu: Dive into the spirit of unity with nature at the Cultural Fiesta themed ‘Harmony with Nature’ a cultural programme was organized by Delhi Public School Nagbani, Jammu. The dynamic event was a blend of tradition, creativity and environmental consciousness to offer an unforgettable celebration of diversity and sustainability. The event kicked off with a warm welcome extended to Mr. R K Rathore - Tehsildar Marh as the Chief Guest on the occasion. Mr. Arun Sharma, SHO Domana, Ms. Vandana Kumari-Ex Sarpanch of Marh Were the guests of honour. Mr. R.K. Verma-Principal of the school extended tokens of gratitude to the Chief Guest and other dignitaries with potted plants for gracing the occasion with their benign presence. The ceremonial lamp was lit by the guests present on the occasion along with Ms. Bhawna Madaan- Headmistress and coordinators of different wings. The Principal delivered the welcome address, he remarked ‘The aim of the event is to promote harmony not only among different cultures but also between humanity and the natural world by celebrating our cultural heritage in conjunction with environmental stewardship, we hope to inspire positive change and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the interconnectedness of all life’.
Students from grade Pre-Nursery to V mesmerized the audience with dance performances paying homage to the elements, alongside eco-friendly art installations showcasing the beauty of our natural world, creating a rich tapestry of cultural experiences.
The chief guest in his words stated that harmony with nature aims to deepen the connection with the environment through various artistic expressions, performances and interactive activities. M K Ajathshatru Singh – Chairman, Kuwrani Dr. Ritu Singh –Founder Trustee and Sh. S. S. Sodhi-Director of the school congratulated the Principal and his team for putting up a wonderful show and conveyed their best wishes to all the worthy parents and the invited guests.
Headmistress of the school emphasized the importance of joining the journey of cultural discovery and environmental awareness during her vote of thanks. The programme was coordinated by Ms. Harsita Singh- Activity Coordinator. The programme concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem followed by a high tea for the parents.

Delhi Public School, Nagbani celebrates International Labour Day

"A time to honor the hard work and dedication of workers around the world."
The students of Class ( III-V) observed International Labour Day by making beautiful cards as a token of gratitude to all the people who work in various fields.Teachers briefed children about Labour Day and its importance. The activity was designed to forge a better understanding of the labour community among our students who must learn to respect and appreciate their efforts.

Sajan Shah a famous motivational speaker conducted an interactive session with the students of Delhi Public School Nagbani, Jammu–(West) in the school premises today. The invigorating talk, attended by the students and the staff from fourth to tenth std., deliberated upon the unique techniques of enhancing focus, dedication and smart reading.

Mr. Shah is the youngest motivational speaker and the memory man of India. Having various accreditations to his credit, he has won appreciation from the honourable former President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, HH Dalai Lama, tennis player Roger Federer and many more.

In his motivational session he spoke to the students about the necessity of being focused in life to achieve their goals and also shared various tips about how they can enhance their concentration and focus in their studies.

In his talk, he shared the three colour pens method to quickly demarcate the texts that students need to focus on, from the one that they are at ease with. He also elaborated upon use of Alpha music for concentration, Plain paper method to nipping the distractions in bud, and Reverse Reading Method for enhancing the speed of reading with comprehension. Students were involved in doing these activities live to get convinced with their efficacies.

Overall, it was an engaging session which suggested several quick and practical tips to enhance focus and achieve the best results in the given time.
