he Dooars. The compound is largely scattered with an area of 6 acres where a huge ground is the center of attraction. The strength of the students is 2000+ and 29 teaching & non-teaching staff are employed. The school has two streams i.e. Arts & Commerce in the higher secondary level and as usual in the normal section. Apart from imparting basic education other co-curricular activities are also given importance. Sports is the field where the students are to be highly appreciated and of course they should be encouraged as well. Precisely to name a few distinctions in the area of Games & Sports, 60 numbers of girls participated each year continuously since 2009 in the Republic Day Parade held at Indira Gandhi Sarani (Red Road), Kolkata and secured Runner-Up in 2009, Winner in 2010 and Champion in 2011. Hockey is the game which was introduced very recently and within a year 1 or 2 the result is awesome. Now we are ranked as the Champions of Bengal in both Boys & Girls category. The best instance we can give is that three players represented Bengal Team in the National School Hockey Tournament'2010 held at Patiala, Punjab. Athletics, Archery, Football, Volley Ball, Cricket are the other games where we have reached upto district level & intra state level. So the students of the school deserves the best. The school had a National Cadet Corps Department which was an asset but now it is inactive. The school is self equipped with the necessities of running the institution smoothly. The discipline, environment, sanitation, etc...everything is maintained very systematically. Everyone feels proud to be a CHENGMARIAN...!!!
