MyFest'17
Christ College and Vidya Jyoti School Jagdalpur join hands together to organize a one day festival ‘MyFest’17’ for differently abled students of various schools from Bastar region on 13th Dec. 2017 Wednesday. Approximately 250 Divyang students from Manovikas, Govt. school for deaf and dumb children, Asha Ashram from Jagdalpur and Saksham School from Geedam joined the program.
The cultural and sports activities were conducted to promote their various talents and abilities and all the children participated with great enthusiasm.
In sports category among the students we have conducted Jalebi Race, Pot Breaking, 50 meter race, rope skipping, musical chair and shot put for different age group of boys and girls.
In extra-curricular categories Divyang students showed their talents in Rangoli and Drawing competitions also. In cultural category they participated in solo song, group song, solo dance and group dance events.
This program was graced with the presence of honorable vice-chancellor of Bastar Vishwavidyalaya Prof. (Dr.) Shailendra Kumar Singh as a chief-guest. Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Kollamparampil CMI, Rev. Dr. Josey Thamarassery CMI, Provincial superior, Nirmal Province, Rev. Fr. Thomas Kollikolavil CMI were the guests of honor of the event. While Mr. Jateen Jaiswal, mayor municipal corp. of Jagdalpur was the special guest of the event.
