**🌿 World Environment Day 2026 | Nasha Mukti Abhiyan 🌿**

The **Department of P.G. Studies & Research in English** successfully organized a meaningful programme on **5 June 2026** to commemorate **World Environment Day** and **Nasha Mukti Abhiyan** in collaboration with the **Women's Studies Cell** and **Mental Health Cell**.

The event began with a **Tree Plantation Drive**, reaffirming our commitment to environmental conservation, followed by a rejuvenating **Yoga and Mindfulness Session** conducted by mindfulness expert **Shri Mahesh Kumar**, emphasizing the importance of physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of **Dr. Ravi Shankar Sonwal, Registrar**, and **Prof. Sardul Singh Sandhu**, whose inspiring words motivated participants to adopt sustainable lifestyles and promote a healthy, addiction-free society.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students, making it a memorable celebration of environmental responsibility, wellness, and social awareness.

NSS Camp Visit - Bhedaghat

Drama Presentation by Students of 1st semester. The Department of English, RDVV brought literature to life with an engaging Drama Presentation Activity, showcasing students’ talent, teamwork, and dynamic stage performances.

The Department of Postgraduate Studies and Research in English, Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur, organized a Tree Plantation Drive on 10th October 2025 at 12:00 p.m. on the university campus. The initiative aimed to spread environmental awareness and inspire students to take active responsibility in protecting and nurturing nature.

The event saw the enthusiastic participation of students from the Department of English, along with students from the Department of Political Science and the Department of Journalism. The Head of the Department, along with faculty members and students, planted several saplings including Starfruit (Carambola), Moulshree (Bakula), and Kalpvriksh, among others.
