Patel Hall of Residence: Orphanage Donation Drive 2024

As part of Unity Drive 2024, Patel Hall of Residence successfully organized an Orphanage Donation Drive on 10th November 2024 to support the children of Ambassador's Children Home.
With the collective efforts of our residents alumnis and well-wishers, we were able to provide essential supplies, educational materials, and heartfelt encouragement to the children. The smiles we witnessed were a testament to the impact of kindness and community spirit.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to this noble cause, reinforcing the belief that small acts of generosity can make a big difference. Patel Hall continues to lead by example in building a more inclusive and compassionate society.

“Humility is what leads to unity, and only unity can lead us to Peace.”
To mark the 147th Birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, following the tradition, a Blood Donation was organised at the Patel Hall of Residence. 132 People from different Halls and cultures came forward to donate their blood, indicating that the humility of Kgpians translates to our unity.
Along with that, Patel Hall of Residence also organised Donation Drive for Orphanage. At Patel, we know that the true sense of happiness is in sharing, being there for others, and togetherness. The smiles of innocence on their faces, and the joy of childhood, were all the celebrations we needed.
Unity, the identity of Patel, is what we strive to promote and propagate. It is this legacy of Patel Hall of Residence that we strive to carry forward, to carry ahead.

“Setback is a setup for a comeback”

Illumination is an integral part of the KGP culture. The sleepless nights, the bruised hands, and the combined effort of each individual acts as a perfect recipe for all to bond, and to create something so magnificent that KGP can pull off. More often than not, the efforts may not be as fruitful as they were meant to be. Last night, a sequence of certain unexpected disasters stopped us from making our illumination the way we wanted.

But Patelians are no common blood. Rising from the ashes like the phoenix, we stood back up again, dusted ourselves, and with the unfathomable unity we take pride in, on the very next day we lit it up again. It is the never giving up mentality of Patelians, that sets them apart, that allows them to carry the legacy of the oldest Hall of Residence.

Patel Hall of Residence is carrying on its legacy of providing basic necessities to children in order to bridge the gap of inequality by hosting an orphanage donation drive for the Ambassadors Children's Home on the auspicious occasion of Patel Jayanti. There are several people whose lives are filled with gloom and despair. We all can do our best to alleviate their suffering. We can accomplish so much more together than we can alone.

Having said that, those helpless faces would brighten with the help of even any modest contribution. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated!
