Last week, students of the Department of English Language & Literature, GC University Hyderabad visited Rani Kot (Fort), famously known as “the great wall of Sindh”.
Rani Kot is located within Kheerthar National Park, around 85 kilometres North of Hyderabad on the Indus Highway. Keeping its cultural and historical value in view, the objective was to offer an environment of recreational activities and to enrich the visiting leaners with exposure to the landscape that is scenic and culturally rich. The trip also aimed to understand how the awareness of history and cultural heritage connect generations through artistic depiction in literature and language use.
The study trip was facilitated by Mr. Khalid Jatoi as an invited tourist guide for the heritage site and entertained by Mr. Nirdosh while coordinated by Mr. Pervaiz Solangi alongside the presence of senior faculty members (Dr. Zahid Ali and Dr. Qurratulain Sardar) and supervised by the chairman DELL (Dr. Niaz Soomro).
