Our Unique curriculum (even for Infants and Toddlers!)- Our curriculum is integrated, age appropriate and focuses on harnessing the Multiple Intelligences of the child to make him visually smart or musically smart. Howard Gardner’s theory of Multiple Intelligence (MI) provides the framework for teaching and learning at Esperanza preschool. The core of this theory is the recognition that people think and learn differently and that intelligence can be expressed in a multitude of ways. In addition we help students to understand their strength and challenges using MI as a tool. Prewriting skills – strokes are introduced in Nursery and we emphasise on the readiness of the child for writing. Letter with phonics and rainbow writing are done for the child to get well versed with letters of alphabet. Pre number skills – readiness for maths is done from Playgroup. Children are exposed to real, concrete objects to abstract to know the concepts of pre math. Various activities are done to recap the concept and reinforcement is done to make all the children on par with each other. We believe that each child is unique and has his own pace of learning things. Our pedagogy helps the child learns with ease and in a play way method. The concepts or themes are taught in various ways to make all the three learners (Visual, Auditory & Kinesthetic) to grasp them.
