My hifdh teacher told me today that “Allah gave people different types of gifts. Some people are good at waking up for Tahajjud, some are good at charity/helping others, some are good at memorising, etc. We gotta be thankful by doing it to the best of our abilities." It shifted my perspective, maybe it will shift yours too.

Some people wake up for Tahajjud like it's second nature. Others struggle every night but excel in giving charity. Some memorize Our' an easily. Others can't, but their hearts are full of patience, gentleness, or sabr. Each one is a gift. From Allah.

We often compare our worship to others.
"She fasts so much."
"He finished memorizing the Qur'an."
"They cry in every du'a..."
But maybe your gift isn't that.
Maybe yours is hidden in a different form of ibadah.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Every person is facilitated for that which he was created for." (Bukhari & Muslim)
Allah opens different doors for different hearts. All roads lead to Him, just don't abandon yours chasing someone else's. My teacher said:
"Be thankful by doing your gift well to the best of your ability."
That's how you show shukr to Allah.
Not by wishing for someone else's path.
But by honouring your own.

So if Allah made salah easy for you, hold onto it.
If your gift is generosity, give freely.
If your heart finds peace in dhikr, keep remembering Him.
Whatever He gave you guard it.
Because not everyone has it.
Your lane in worship is your invitation to Jannah.
Don't underestimate it just because it's not the loudest, the longest, or the most praised.
Allah sees.
And He knows exactly what He gave you.

A final du'a:
Ya Allah, let me recognize the blessings You've placed in me,
and help me use them with sincerity, gratitude, and ihsan. Ameen.

Your gift is not random.
It's your path.
Honor it.
