🌿 How Plants Make Food – Photosynthesis Explained

Did you know that plants don’t eat food like humans or animals?
Instead, they create their own food using a beautiful natural process called photosynthesis.

In this video, we explore how plants use sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to produce glucose (their food) and release oxygen into the atmosphere. This process takes place mainly in the leaves, inside tiny structures called chloroplasts, which contain a green pigment known as chlorophyll.

Here’s how the process works:

ā˜€ļø Sunlight provides the energy for the reaction.
šŸ’§ Water is absorbed from the soil through the roots.
🌬 Carbon dioxide enters the leaves through tiny pores called stomata.
🧬 Inside the leaf cells, chlorophyll captures sunlight and converts these raw materials into glucose, which the plant uses for growth and energy.

At the same time, plants release oxygen, which is essential for the survival of humans and animals. That’s why plants are often called the ā€œlungs of the Earth.ā€

This video visually explains the magical process happening inside every green plant around us.

Recently, new guidelines were issued regarding the singing of Vande Mataram. Institutions and cultural programs are being encouraged to sing the complete 6-stanza version of the song instead of limiting it to only the first two stanzas.

šŸ“š Vande Mataram was written by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and first appeared in his novel Anandamath (1882). During the freedom struggle, it became a powerful symbol of patriotism.

Bharat Taxi was officially launched on February 5, 2026, by Union Home Minister Amit Shah as India’s first cooperative-led ride-hailing platform.

Why was it launched?
The primary goal is to shift from a corporate-owned model to a ā€œdriver-ownedā€ one (Sarathi Hi Malik). Key reasons include:

Zero Commission: Unlike private apps that take 25–30%, it operates without a commission fee to increase driver earnings.

Driver Ownership: Drivers can become co-owners by purchasing shares for as little as ₹500.

Social Security: It provides drivers with health insurance, accident cover, and retirement benefits.

Fair Pricing: For passengers, it aims to offer surge-free pricing and a transparent fare system.

Government Backing: It is supported by major cooperatives like Amul and IFFCO and is integrated with the Digital India framework.

It is currently operational in Delhi-NCR and parts of Gujarat, with plans to expand nationwide by 2029.

Nimesulide Banned in India

India has banned high-dose (above 100 mg) oral forms of Nimesulide, a commonly used pain and fever medicine, due to serious liver safety concerns. The decision was taken by the Government of India to protect public health and promote safer alternatives.

The ban applies only to high-dose versions—not a complete ban on the medicine. Doctors are now advised to prescribe safer painkillers at recommended doses.

Iran is facing its biggest wave of protests in years, triggered by a sharp economic crisis and currency collapse. Since late December 2025, demonstrations have spread across multiple cities and in many places have turned into open anti-government protests. Authorities have responded with a major security crackdown, including mass arrests and internet restrictions/blackouts, while international groups and media report hundreds to thousands killed (figures vary by source).

A community (caste) panchayat in Rajasthan’s Jalore district sparked controversy after it announced a ban/restriction on internet- and camera-enabled smartphones for daughters-in-law and young women across around 15 villages. The decision drew widespread backlash for being discriminatory and curbing women’s freedom, and the NHRC reportedly took note of the matter. Later, some reports suggested the panchayat softened its stand, describing it as an ā€œadvisoryā€ or saying the decision was withdrawn.
