BETWEEN THE LINES
Shuffling through the tiny lanes of a city, what is it that your mind holds on to?
Just like you, a few thousand years ago one human being realised that he wants
to multiply and repeat himself in every form possible. Today we live in a compli-
cated amalgamation of emotions and concrete.
Year after year we called this our home and kept trying to accommodate every-
one that turned up with all kinds of baggage.
Always aiming to bring a better future by always letting the present stay on its
toes.
If you were to ask yourself what was missing from the city you lived in, you’ll
always have an answer. This ever expanding need for more is what we call a city.
In the desperation to put a roof over everyone’s head, we fail to leave space for
the sky.
In an attempt to make everything one, we make a million.
Everyone who walks through the walls of the city, adds a brick or removes one.
Everyone that tangles themselves into the web of human society, ties or cuts a
string.
If you were someone who was born and raised in a forest, and one day decided
to visit a jungle that was grey in colour, what is it that would hold your gaze? The
overhead metro lines? The sweet corn on the roadside? The old man walking
with a stick? Or the cow in the middle of the road?

Priya Tadinada is a graduate Architect from the JNAFAU School of Planning and Architecture, Hyderabad, India. She then moved to Berlin (Germany), to work as an Architectural Assistant at the Laboratory for Visionary Architecture (LAVA) until June 2018 and moved back to Hyderabad for a brief period of time.
Priya shared her experiences with Traveling, Architecture, Photography and life during the talk and inspired us to travel more!
