Although Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) in human is a very young part of science, the impact it has done on the human race in wiping the tears of barren couples is remarkable. The o

Reproduction maintains the survival of the species in the planet whether it is animal or human. Along with the pace of industrialization and it's multi-faceted effects on the ecosystems came the dwindling pattern of human as well as the animal reproduction across the geographical regions. The technology called "ART" can bring the male and female gametes to proximity to overcome the in vivo conception hurdles. Research Spotlight:

We’re pleased to share this research poster highlighting a recently published study in the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics examining reproductive outcomes following the transfer of mosaic versus euploid embryos.

The study demonstrates that mosaic embryos achieved live birth, implantation, clinical pregnancy, and miscarriage rates comparable to those of euploid embryos following frozen embryo transfer (FET). It also found no significant differences in outcomes based on the level or type of mosaicism. Importantly, the findings reinforce that Single Embryo Transfer (SET) should remain the preferred strategy, as double embryo transfer was associated with a higher rate of twin pregnancies.

These findings support the careful clinical consideration of mosaic embryo transfer, particularly when euploid embryos are unavailable, potentially reducing the need for repeated IVF retrievals while maintaining favorable reproductive outcomes. We hope this research summary encourages continued discussion on evidence-based embryo selection and advances in reproductive medicine.

Although these zygotes are rare and current evidence remains limited, several studies have shown that they can develop into blastocysts, with many demonstrating normal diploid chromosomal status and reported successful live births following transfer. The article emphasizes that 2.1PN embryos should not be routinely discarded but instead cultured to the blastocyst stage and evaluated using genetic testing where available. We're pleased to share this excellent poster summarizing the recently published Human Reproduction study on Navigating uncertainty in PGT-A which reviews the relationship between analytical accuracy, embryo biology, and clinical outcomes. It summarizes the reliability of modern PGT-A technologies by comparing whole-chromosome aneuploidy, mosaicism, and segmental abnormalities based on available laboratory validation and clinical evidence. The poster highlights that while whole-chromosome meiotic aneuploidies demonstrate high clinical reliability, mosaic and segmental findings require cautious interpretation due to biological complexity and limited validation.
