The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad, organised the Prize Distribution Programme of the EFLU Sports Tournament 2026 (Winter Semester) on 02 May 2026 at the University Sports Complex.
Students participated in various sporting events including Football, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Chess, Table Tennis, Kabaddi, Karate, and Carroms. Among them, 243 students emerged as winners and runners-up and were felicitated with medals and trophies.
Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. N. Nagaraju congratulated all participants for making the EFLU Sports Tournament 2026 a grand success.

The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Rajasthan, on 01 May 2026 at Jaipur, in the presence of the Hon’ble Union Minister of Education, Government of India, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan ji; the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Bhajanlal Sharma ji; and the Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Shri Jayant Chaudhary ji, for the implementation of the Foreign Language Communication Skill Programme.
The initiative aims to strengthen skill-based foreign language training and enhance employability through structured, industry-aligned programmes, with EFLU providing academic leadership and the Government of Rajasthan facilitating institutional support.

A meeting was held at The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad, with His Excellency Mr. Antonio Bartoli, Ambassador of Italy; Mr. Giandomenico Milano, Consul General, Bengaluru; Prof. Marco Re, Scientific Attaché, Bengaluru; and the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. N. Nagaraju.
The discussions focused on strengthening academic engagement, developing skill-based courses in areas such as healthcare and foreign language education, and exploring the establishment of a Centre for Training of Trainers, with a view to further enhancing academic collaboration between India and Italy.

The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad, is proud to announce an outstanding academic achievement by its students of Linguistics from the School of Language Sciences, who have secured All India Rank 1 and 2 in GATE 2026.
Ms R. Bhama (AIR 1) and Mr. Viswas Paul J***y (AIR 2), along with other rank holders, Harsh Bhardwaj (14), Vasu Gandharv (15), Rahul Acharya (18), Hiba Parvin (19), Suhana Shree Mohan (24), Fatima Nawazis (29), Aparna K. S. (37), and Ayush Raj K. R. (49), have brought distinction to the University.

The The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) organised a special lecture titled “The Unfinished Constitution: Liberty, Equality, Fraternity in Contemporary India” on the occasion of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Jayanti.
The lecture was delivered by Prof. Srikrishna Deva Rao, Vice-Chancellor of NALSAR University of Law, and chaired by Prof. N. Nagaraju, Vice-Chancellor, EFLU. The discourse underscored the enduring relevance of liberty, equality, and fraternity, emphasising the Constitution as a living and evolving framework.
The lecture witnessed active participation from the university community, reaffirming EFLU’s commitment to constitutional values and social justice.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. N. Nagaraju, offered floral tributes to the architect of the Indian Constitution and underscored the enduring relevance of Dr. Ambedkar’s vision. The ceremony witnessed the participation of the Registrar, Proctor, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students, reflecting the collective spirit and shared commitment of the University community to the ideals of equity, dignity, and empowerment.

The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad, commemorated the birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on 11 April 2026 with solemnity and reverence.
The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. N. Nagaraju, led senior administrators, faculty, and staff in paying rich tributes to the eminent social reformer. Floral tributes were offered in recognition of Phule’s pioneering contributions to social justice, women’s education, and the upliftment of marginalized communities.
The observance reaffirmed the University’s commitment to the ideals of equality, inclusivity, and transformative education envisioned by Mahatma Jyotiba Phule.

The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad, in collaboration with Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal, inaugurated a two-day National Seminar (08–09 April 2026) on the birth centenary of eminent Hindi literary figures.
The inaugural session, graced by Vice-Chancellor Prof. N. Nagaraju and Registrar Smt. Sini Manchala, focused on the literary legacies of Krishna Sobti, Amarkant, Shrilal Shukla, Gopaldas ‘Neeraj’, Mohan Rakesh, and Dharamvir Bharati. The programme is being conducted under the patronage of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor.
