“What is the use of a house if you haven't got a tolerable planet to put it on?”

Lets put the hand in hand &work to save the earth with a green way

We should believe that technology can empower people and organizations on the planet to achieve a more sustainable future if and only if, we're using the power of the latest technological study to minimize the environmental impact of our need and business operations. So we should work together around the world to discover and Share innovative ideas which are implementable for the transition of a sustainable environment.

*Self-disinfecting biodegradable face masks*

Indian Scientists have developed self-disinfecting Copper-based Nanoparticle-coated Antiviral Face Mask that is biodegradable, highly breathable and washable. It is developed by International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI), in collaboration with the Centre for Cellular & Molecular Biology (CSIR-CCMB) and Resil Chemicals, Bengaluru. ARCI has developed copper-based nanoparticles of around 20 nanometres by a ‘Flame Spray Pyrolysis’ (FSP) processing facility through which the stable nanoparticle suspension was obtained. A uniform layer of this nano-coating on the cotton fabric with good adhesion was achieved using a suitable binder. This coated fabric exhibited an efficacy of more than 99.9% against bacteria. This solution stops further transmission of virus while disposing and prevents from creating and causing serious environmental concerns and waste-management issues.

Biodiesel from-Initiative to Waste as Green Energy--

Brazilian researchers used waste cooking oil, combining it with metal hydroxides, including lithium from old batteries, to produce low-carbon bio-diesel. The method involves using a combination of hydroxide lithium and either potassium hydroxides or sodium hydroxides as catalysts. The method developed is transesterification, which can provide fuel in just minutes at room temperature. Upon catalysis by the mixture of metal hydroxides, the transesterification reaction breaks the cooking oil into a layer of glycerol and a bio-diesel layer. They used waste cooking oil collected from fast-food restaurants and homes and lithium hydroxide from used batteries from electric vehicles. The experiment produced chemically sound bio-diesel as well as glycerol, which can be used to produce food sweeteners or skin treatments. The recycling process not only removes Li-ion battery wastes and oily contaminants from the environment but also enables the generation of a green power source. It is a breakthrough for the industry. Great. Join with me to congratulate Gilberto Maia de Brito and team and wish them all success

First soluble bag-
water-soluble plastic bag that breaks down in minutes!! Solubags are made with polyvinyl alcohol (or PVA), a water-soluble substance that doesn’t contaminate the environment . PVA, a polyvinyl alcohol that dissolves in water, is used as the chemical base. It is approved by FDA.S olubags take only 5 minutes to dissolve when submerged in water. The water remains potable even after the bag dissolves. Solubags are not the first water-soluble bags but they will be the first intended for the general public. Great. Join with me to congratulate Roberto Astete and Cristian Olivares for this wonderful solution.
