Students of Little Flower School, Abids, had an enriching educational experience during their visit to Del Mar College in Corpus Christi. They attended a highly informative seminar on the refining of crude oil, where experts explained the complex processes involved in converting raw petroleum into useful products such as fuel, diesel, and other petrochemicals. The session provided valuable insights into the science and technology behind the oil industry, enhancing the students’ understanding of real-world applications of chemistry and engineering.

As part of their visit, the students also explored the renowned USS Lexington Museum, a historic naval aircraft carrier turned museum. Walking through the massive ship, they learned about naval history, life at sea, and the role of aircraft carriers in defense. The exhibits, aircraft displays, and interactive sections made the visit both educational and exciting.

Overall, the experience was highly engaging and broadened the students’ knowledge, making it a memorable part of their educational tour.

A group of 17 enthusiastic students from Little Flower High School, accompanied by their teacher, successfully reached the NASA Space Center today as part of their educational tour. The visit marked an exciting and inspiring experience, giving students a rare opportunity to witness the wonders of space science firsthand.

During their visit, the students explored various sections of the space center, learning about launch pads, the different types of fuels used in rockets, and detailed models of spacecraft. They were fascinated by the advanced technology and complex engineering behind space missions. The exhibits and interactive displays helped them understand how rockets are designed, tested, and launched into space.

A special highlight of the visit was a one-to-one interaction with Dr. Philip, a biochemical engineer working with NASA. The students had the opportunity to directly engage with him, gaining valuable insights into his work, research, and contributions to space science. This interaction inspired the students and gave them a deeper understanding of real-world applications of science. The group also visited the manufacturing units where spaceships and capsules are developed, witnessing firsthand the intricate processes involved in building spacecraft.
