Junior Drawing Competition 2026-27 - Grey skies outside, but a burst of colour on paper! 🌈

The Junior Section of St. Helen’s School celebrated the magic of the monsoon through two exciting art competitions that encouraged our young artists to imagine and create.

Theme - Classes III & IV – Inter-House Drawing Competition: The Rainy Canvas
Our young artists took the theme a step further, using composition, colour and imagination to create their own interpretations of the monsoon. The competition also brought in the spirit of healthy Inter-House participation.

Winners
1st Aradhana Singh – Green House
2nd Vansh Sharma – Yellow House
3rd Manya Pandey – Red House

The artworks were judged on creativity, use of colours, relevance to the theme and overall presentation.

More than a competition, it was an opportunity for children to discover that the same rainy day can look completely different through every artist’s eyes.

Students transformed the sights and joys of the rainy season into colourful works of art, filling their pages with creativity and cheerful monsoon moments.

Celebrating Eid-e-Milad - Primary Section

Eid-e-Milad commemorates the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad and is an occasion to reflect upon his life and his teachings of peace and compassion towards humankind.

Our Primary Section celebrated this special occasion with joy and warmth through meaningful craft activities. One of the most heartwarming moments of the day was watching students and teachers lovingly offer sweets to one another, filling the celebration with a beautiful spirit of togetherness.

Through these simple yet meaningful experiences our young learners discovered that kindness can be expressed in everyday gestures like sharing with others and showing respect wherever they go. Celebrating festivals at school also gives children an opportunity to learn about and respect the traditions of others.

From the St. Helen’s family, we wish you and your loved ones a blessed Mawlid. May your life be filled with peace and compassion and may these beautiful values continue to guide and inspire us all.

At St. Helen’s School art became a canvas for ideas as our senior students participated in the Inter-House Drawing Competition 2026-27.

From reflecting on 'My Duty Towards My Country' and 'Bridging Rural and Urban India' in the selection round to exploring national unity and the power of youth in the finals, students transformed thoughtful themes into powerful visual expressions.

The final round, held in August 2026, celebrated not just artistic talent, but also the student's understanding of their role in shaping the India of tomorrow.

The Tata Building India Essay Competition was successfully organised at St. Helen’s School on 10th August 2026, with enthusiastic participation from students of Classes VI to XII.

Centred around the theme of envisioning India’s development and growth as the nation approaches 100 years of Independence, students penned their thoughts on 'Five Things I Will Do to Make India the Most Developed Country in the World.'

From fresh ideas to thoughtful solutions, the essays reflected the aspirations of young minds eager to see India grow into a stronger and a more progressive nation. The competition encouraged students to look beyond the classroom, think critically about the country’s future, and recognise the role they can play in shaping India.

More than a writing competition, it was an exercise in imagination, responsibility and nation-building—giving our students a platform to propose and envision the India they wish to see in 2047.

St. Helen’s School proudly celebrates the remarkable achievements of our young karate champions at the CISCE Zonal Karate Competition 2026, held on 7th July at St. Mary’s Convent School, Santragachi.

🥇 Sakshi Sharma clinched the Gold Medal in the Under-14 category, while
🥉 Sakshi Rawat secured the Bronze Medal in the Under-17 category.

The occasion was made even more special by the presence of our Principal, Dr. Nelson Mangalam, who graced the competition as the Chief Guest.
