"The Earth is our shared home." 🌎

Julien Day School Nursery celebrated Earth Day on the 24th of April, 2026 to show how we can keep our Earth happy and clean.

Teachers explained to children that the Earth is our home through different activities like planting saplings, picking trash from water to show them that we should save the ocean . Then using clay and stick children made beautiful trees , using green paints and paper our tots made beautiful Earth , paper bags were made using newspaper.

We also showed them videos on throwing garbage in the dustbin and keeping our surroundings clean, saving water by turning off the tap when not in use and we should also switch off lights and fans when we leave a room.

A positive message was sent to students that we should love and protect animals, birds, and plants.
Let us all promise to take care of our Earth every day and keep it clean, green, and happy! 🌍🌿

Healthy habits, healthy hearts..

Julian Nursery School, Howrah organised a Market Day Activity on 27th of March 2026 for our toddlers. It was an exciting and joyful learning experience for them . It was organized to help our young learners understand the basic concept of a market in a simple and playful way.

The field was decorated like a small market with colorful stalls of fruits, vegetables, and eggs. Some children came dressed as shopkeepers while parents along with our management went around buying fruits and vegetables.Teachers gave them fake money to make the activity more realistic and fun.
Through this activity, children learnt important skills like-
* To identify fruits and vegetables. 🍏🫛🍆
* To recognize numbers🔢
* To practice counting.🔢
* They also develop communication skills by using simple sentences like “How much is this?” and “Thank you.”👬

Market Day helped our students in building confidence, social interaction, and sharing habits among children.
This activity also supports learning through play, which is very important at the pre-school level as recommended in the National Education Policy 2020.

It encourages hands-on learning and real-life experiences.
Overall, Market Day was a fun-filled and meaningful activity that made learning enjoyable for our pre-school children.
