We were honored to host a captivating guest lecture on the intricate mechanisms driving chronic bronchial inflammation, tissue remodeling, and angiogenesis in COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). The session was delivered by Prof. Hari Sharma from the Department of Pathology and Clinical Bioinformatics, Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, Netherlands, on 3rd December 2024, at 2:30 PM in Conference Room, 5th Floor, Engineering Block.
This insightful event, organized by the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, and Microbiology, provided students and researchers with a deeper understanding of the pathological processes behind COPD progression, fostering academic growth and research innovation.

🤝 Human Chain for Awareness: Our students came together to form a symbolic human chain, spreading the message of responsible antimicrobial use and combating resistance.
🎭 Nukkad Natak: A thought-provoking street play (nukkad natak) captivated the audience, showcasing the dangers of misuse and overuse of antibiotics. 🎬💡

🌟 Through these initiatives, our students took a stand for global health, pledging to fight antimicrobial resistance with awareness and action.

On 15th June, 2024, the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering & Technology at SRM University Delhi-NCR, Sonepat, Haryana successfully held a Board of Studies (BoS) meeting under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) V. Samuel Raj, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. (Dr.) Prof. Ranjit Roy, Dean- Faculty of Engineering & Technology. Dr. Anjali Priyadarshini, HoD BME, welcomed everyone and initiated the BoS meeting, outlining her vision to elevate the departments to a top-tier level. Two external experts joined the BoS, one from Academia Dr. Marshal, (Associate Professor, Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi) and another from Industry Dr. Rajkumar Halder (CEO, Ruhvenile Biomedical, New Delhi). Alongside the department faculty members, these experts reviewed and discussed the curriculum, offering recommendations to align with academic and industry standards. The faculty members and University officials engaged in enriching discussions, contributing to the continuous improvement of the academic program.
