New discovery shows human cells can write RNA sequences into DNA 14/06/2021

Mind boggling!

New discovery shows human cells can write RNA sequences into DNA Cells contain machinery that duplicates DNA into a new set that goes into a newly formed cell. That same class of machines, called polymerases, also build RNA messages, which are like notes copied from the central DNA repository of recipes, so they can be read more efficiently into proteins. But pol...

in 1900, Max Planck produced his law of black body emission, Planck’s law.

When a black body is heated, electromagnetic radiation is emitted with a spectrum depending on the temperature of the body and not of its composition. Calculating the form of the spectrum, using the then established physical laws, gave an unreasonable result: the radiation in the high frequency part of the spectrum became infinite. Planck solved this problem by introducing the concept of quanta: the emitted radiation consists of quanta of specific energies determined by a new fundamental constant named the Planck constant. He was awarded the 1918 Physics Prize for his work on the establishment and development of the theory of elementary quanta.

Planck's law (coloured curves) accurately described black body radiation and resolved the ultraviolet catastrophe (black curve). The ultraviolet catastrophe, also called the Rayleigh–Jeans catastrophe, was the prediction of late 19th century/early 20th century classical physics that an ideal black body at thermal equilibrium will emit radiation in all frequency ranges, emitting more energy as the frequency increases.

Metformin is a very common drug to treat diabetes and pcos, I just hope and pray people are safe and its carcinogenicity is somehow controlled!

FDA alerts patients and health care professionals to voluntary recalls of extended release (ER) metformin by Marksans Pharma and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries because they may contain NDMA above the acceptable intake limit: https://go.usa.gov/xGF9F

Patients taking recalled ER metformin should continue taking it until a doctor or pharmacist gives them a replacement or a different treatment option. It could be dangerous for patients with type 2 diabetes to stop taking their metformin without first talking to their health care professional. FDA recommends that health care professionals continue to prescribe metformin when clinically appropriate.
