“শিক্ষা কোনো তথ্যের সঞ্চয় নয়; শিক্ষা হলো মানুষের ভেতরে থাকা পরিপূর্ণতার প্রকাশ।”
স্বামী বিবেকানন্দের এই বিখ্যাত উক্তি থেকে বোঝা যায় শিক্ষা দানের অর্থ তথ্যের সঞ্চার নয়, বরং শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে লুকিয়ে থাকা প্রতিভা গুলির আত্মপ্রকাশ ই হচ্ছে শিক্ষা। আর এই অন্তর্নিহিত প্রতিভা গুলির পরিপূর্ণতার বিকাশ ঘটাতে পারে একমাত্র শিক্ষক।
স্বামীজীর এই ১৬৩ তম জন্ম জয়ন্তী উপলক্ষে আমাদের গীতাঞ্জলি এডুকেশনাল ট্রাস্ট এর পক্ষ থেকে যে উদ্যোগগুলি নেওয়া হয়েছিল , তাহাতে আমাদের গীতাঞ্জলি কলেজের অধ্যাপক -অধ্যাপিকা দের অংশগ্রহণ ছিল অতি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।
তাহাদের পরিচালন দক্ষতা আজকের অনুষ্ঠানটিকে সাফল্যমন্ডিত করে তুলেছিল।
গীতাঞ্জলি এডুকেশন ট্রাস্ট এর পক্ষ থেকে আমরা বিশেষভাবে ধন্যবাদ জানাই আমাদের সমস্ত অধ্যাপক অধ্যাপিকা এবং ছাত্র-ছাত্রী বৃন্দকে যাদের নিরলস প্রচেষ্টায় আজকের এই কর্মযজ্ঞ টি সঠিকভাবে সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।
বিগত দিনগুলোর মত, আগামী দিনগুলোতে তাহারা আমাদের পাশে থেকে গীতাঞ্জলি এডুকেশন ট্রাস্টের সমস্ত চিন্তাধারা গুলিকে বাস্তবে রূপদান করবেন এই আশা রাখি।

প্রতিবছরের ন্যায় এ বছরও গীতাঞ্জলি এডুকেশনাল ট্রাস্ট এর সহায়তায় এবং গীতাঞ্জলি টিচার্স ট্রেনিং কলেজের কলেজের পরিচালনায় স্বামী বিবেকানন্দের ১৬৩ তম (12/1/2026) জন্মজয়ন্তী সাদর সমারোহে পালন করা হল।
ভারতবর্ষের এই মহান বীরের জন্ম জয়ন্তী দিনটি আমরা বিভিন্ন সহপাঠক্রমিক কার্যাবলীর মাধ্যমে অতিবাহিত করেছি,
১) কলেজে ছাত্র ছাত্রীদের পরিচালনায় একটি সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান।
২) আমরা আমন্ত্রণ জানিয়েছিলাম গীতাঞ্জলি প্রতিষ্ঠান সংলগ্ন কিছু প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের।
৩) প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় ছাত্রছাত্রীদের নিয়ে আমরা বিভিন্ন প্রতিযোগিতার আয়োজন করেছিলাম,
যেমন,
ক) স্বামীজীর অবয়ব চিত্রাংকন প্রতিযোগিতা
খ) অনুচ্ছেদ ও প্রশ্ন উত্তর পর্ব
গ) শ্রুতিলিখন
গ) স্বামীজি শিকাগো বক্তৃতা আলোচনা পর্ব, এবং
ঘ) যেমন খুশি তেমন সাজো প্রতিযোগিতা।
এছাড়াও আজকের দিনে আমরা গীতাঞ্জলি টিচার্স ট্রেনিং কলেজের বার্ষিক দেওয়াল পত্রিকা (স্বামী বিবেকানন্দের চিন্তা দর্শন এর আদলে) "যুব জাগরণ" প্রকাশ করলাম।
এই ছোট ছোট শিশুদের আগমনে গীতাঞ্জলি কলেজর প্রতিটি কোন আজ মুখরিত হয়েছিল আর কোথা থেকে যেন স্বামী বিবেকানন্দের সেই বিখ্যাত উক্তি প্রতিধ্বনিত হচ্ছিল কলেজের প্রাঙ্গণেই--

"জীবে প্রেম করে যেইজন সেই জন সেবিছে ঈশ্বর" ।
