📢 One Day Workshop on “Cracking Civil Service Examination” 📚✨
The IQAC & Placement Cell 2025-26 of Government First Grade College, P.G. Centre, Hangal successfully organized an inspiring workshop on “Cracking Civil Service Examination” on 09-05-2026 at the Seminar Hall.
We were honored to have Mr. Tippusultan Naikwadi, Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) and proud alumnus of GFGC Hangal, as the Resource Person. His valuable guidance, motivational insights, and practical tips on civil service preparation greatly inspired the students.
The program was presided over by Dr. C S Kummur, Principal, GFGC Hangal, in the presence of respected dignitaries, faculty members, and students.

On 16th April 2026 at 2:30 PM, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Research Committee, in collaboration with the Staff Club, successfully organized a workshop on “Academic Writing for Faculty and PG Students.” �
🎤 The session was led by distinguished resource persons:

The Department of Collegiate Education, Government First Grade College, Hangal, under the IQAC Initiative, successfully organized a meaningful World Health Day program in collaboration with Taluka Public Hospital, Hangal.

✨ One Day Workshop on Career Opportunities in Physics ✨

The Department of Physics, Government First Grade College & PG Centre, Hangal, under the IQAC initiative, successfully organized a one-day workshop on “Career Opportunities in Physics” on 01 April 2026 at the Science Block.

🎓 The session was delivered by Dr. Raghavendra K. Sali, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, GFGC Ranebennur, who provided valuable insights into diverse career paths in physics, higher education opportunities, and research prospects.

🏫 The program was presided over by Dr. C.S. Kummur, Principal, GFGC Hangal, who encouraged students to explore the vast potential in the field of physics.

Blood Donation Camp Successfully Organized at GFGC Hangal

Government First Grade College, Hangal, under the initiative of IQAC, organized a Blood Donation Camp through Youth Red Cross and NSS, in collaboration with the Blood Bank, District Hospital, Haveri on 9 March 2026 at the Library Building.

The program was inaugurated by Dr. Basavaraj Talawar, Medical Officer, Blood Bank, District Hospital, Haveri. Dr. Akhilesh Malode, Medical Officer, THC Hangal, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The program was presided over by Dr. C. S. Kummur, Principal of GFGC Hangal.

The camp was organized under the guidance of NSS Programme Officer Dr. Nayan J. and Youth Red Cross Coordinator Shri Fazal Ahmad Khateeb, with the presence of IQAC Coordinator Shri Santosh Gowda.

Many students enthusiastically participated in the camp and donated blood, showing their commitment to social service and humanitarian values. The program created awareness about the importance of blood donation and encouraged youth to contribute towards saving lives.

The college appreciated the support of the District Hospital Blood Bank team and thanked all donors for their valuable contribution.

📢 NSS Special Camp 2025–26

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Special Camp 2025–26 of Haveri University, Haveri, organized by Government First Grade College (GFGC), Hangal, was successfully conducted from 4th March 2026 to 10th March 2026 at the adopted village Malligara.

During the camp, NSS volunteers carried out various activities such as cleanliness drives, health awareness programs, environmental protection initiatives, rural development activities, and social awareness programs, encouraging community participation and social responsibility among students.

The camp was conducted under the guidance of College Principal Dr. C. S. Kummur, NSS Programme Officer Dr. Nayan, and NSS Programme Assistant Officer Shri Fazal Ahmad Khatib.

The valedictory program was held on 10th March 2026 at 10:00 AM, where dignitaries appreciated the efforts and dedication of the NSS volunteers in serving the community.

The camp concluded with the message of unity, service, and commitment towards building a better society.

🇮🇳 Viksit Bharat – Haveri District Youth Parliament 2026 🇮🇳

Government First Grade College, Hangal, in association with the National Service Scheme (NSS), Haveri University and Mera Yuva Bharat, successfully organized the Haveri District Youth Parliament – 2026 on 04 March 2026.

The theme of the program was “50 Years of Emergency: Lessons for Indian Democracy.” The event provided a valuable platform for youth to discuss democratic values, constitutional responsibilities, and the importance of active citizenship.

The program was inaugurated by Prof. Suresh H. Jangamashetti, Vice-Chancellor, Haveri University, in the presence of distinguished guests and NSS coordinators.

Students enthusiastically participated in discussions, reflecting their awareness and commitment towards building a stronger and Viksit Bharat.
