Today, Udaan NGO Udaan Education and Research Foundation felicitated Gopesh Das, a student of Silchar Govt. Boys’ Higher Secondary School, who secured a First Division in the Assam Higher Secondary Arts stream this year.

Behind this success lies a story of struggle, sacrifice, and determination. During the day, Gopesh attends classes and studies with hope in his eyes. In the evening, he works as a waiter at Wow Momo near Debdut Point, Silchar, to support himself and continue his education. While many students return home after classes, he begins another shift of hard work just to keep his dreams alive.

Despite financial hardships, he has refused to give up on life. Today, he dreams of appearing for the Assam Police UB examination and building a dignified future through his own hard work and honesty. Gopesh represents thousands of underprivileged students who are silently fighting poverty every single day, yet choosing education over defeat.
