Two Days Workshop on Finite Element Method for Engineers(01–02 April 2016):-

Two days workshop on ‘Finite Element Methods for Engineers” under TEQIP-II’ is scheduled to be held during 01st-02nd April, 2016. The main objective of this workshop is to promote the applications of finite element methods to solve the several types of engineering problems. This also includes facilitating the advanced finite element methods for direct or indirect use in engineering and other allied field. The workshop provides a forum in which the participants can learn about the needs of FEM, basic of FEM and also obtain information about recent advances of finite element methods (FEM) with successful applications to develop new applications. This workshop will bring together faculty members and researches from different engineering and industrial fields to establish new collaborations and research to expose both sides of challenges and opportunities in the respective fields.

ONE DAY WORKSHOP on APPLIED COMPUTING( 29th March, 2016 ):

The time has come wherein computing may be classified into pure and applied. In pure computer science the key theoretical issues are addressed, while in applied computing the applied aspects of computer science are the focus. The objective of the one day workshop is to create an awareness of various applied computing tools and techniques among young faculty members and students. We will be having sessions on Big data, soft computing, scientific computing, high performance computing, cloud computing etc..

We have pleasure to inform that this year’s General Body Meeting of MITS Alumni Association, Delhi, is being held along with fun filled cricket match among us on 13 Sept 2015, Sunday at 11.00 AM in the premises of Kamla Nehru College, Siri Fort Road (August Kranti Marg).
Agenda of the meeting is as follows:
- Report about activities during the last year and further planning
- Passing of Annual Accounts
- Formation of new Governing Body.
- Any other business with the approval of chair.
The GBM will be followed by cricket match to start at 12.30 PM at the Cricket Grounds of Kamla Nehru College. The match will be played with Tennis ball, so all can participate in it. Depending upon the no of participants the format will be decided on the say. It could be 3 matches or one match.
Cricket match will be followed by lunch.
All the alumni are invited to come and join and play/watch the cricket match. Alumni who are not members are also invited to become members of the Association and take part in the activities of the association, as well as give their support.
