We are pleased to share a remarkable publication co-authored by our research scholar Ms. Wimarithy K. Marak on the discovery of Gitchak nakana, a new genus and species of subterranean blind loach from Northeast India. This study marks the first record of a groundwater-dwelling fish from the region, contributing significantly to biodiversity research.
