Spot registration at Kaushal Mela(PMKVY)

On the 2nd of November 2016, Gate Institute,Chandmari ; a training centre of Brainware Skills,Kolkata offering Short term training courses under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikash Yojana 2.0 as per National Skill Qualification Framework in 2 job roles : field technician
(Computer and Peripheral) and Assistant Beautician, organised a Kaushal Mela at Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture, Uzaan Bazaar. The event was a mobilisation camp aimed to disseminate information about the various skill training options and building awareness to enrol suitable candidates and outline the possible career paths and income generation potential once the training is imparted. The event saw a successful turnout of 143 interested candidates and registration of 78 candidates at the end of the gathering. The gathering was graced by the presence of honourable chief guest, Shri Atul Bora, Member of Legislative Assembly, Dispur Constituency who delivered thought provoking and inspiring words emphasising the importance of recognising skill which is inculcated through generations. The event was also adorned by Shri P.K. Borah, General Manager, District Industries and Commerce Centre who enlightened the gathering about skill development and its array of opportunities. Dr (Mrs) Swapna Dutta Hazarika, Managing Director, Gate Institute briefed the gathering about the PMKVY's guidelines,objective, features and benefits. This was followed by distribution of certificates of completion to the trained candidates in the job role Field Technician (Computing and Peripherals) from the batch 2015-16. The event concluded with vote of thanks delivered by Tridip Talukdar, Senior IT trainer and the on- spot registration of interested candidates.
