Happy to share with that Rituraj Shivam faculty member of department of Mass Communication,AIMT who has worked as Director of photography the film " Dawn of a New Era" directed by Sumir Dewri has received Best film award ( other than Assamese) at the recently concluded Prag cine awards 2026. The film also received certificate of appreciation at the International Folklore Film Festival 2026.

We, at AIMT, express deep shock and sorrow at the sad and sudden demise of our respected former Senior Assistant Professor of Economics, Mr Nanda Ram Saud Sir, on 24th June, 2026.
Saud Sir was a highly experienced faculty member of our college. Sir worked with us from 2015 to 2024 and contributed a lot to the academic development of the college. He was very popular with students and employees. He was known for his knowledge and good sense of humour. Sir will always be remembered as an important and efficient member of AIMT family.
We pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul. We express our sincere condolences to the bereaved family, and wish them comfort as they navigate this challenging period.
Sir is gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. 🙏

Bidding goodbyes are always hard but it is also important for starting something new. On 3rd June, 2026, a Farewell Program was organised by the BBA department for the Outgoing Batch of BBA, 2023-26. Finally, their journey at AIMT comes to an end. We hope that these 3 years of your life were the most productive and memorable years. We wish you good luck for your future endeavours.

An to NESAC (North Eastern Space Applications Centre), Umiam, Meghalaya, was organized on 9th June 2026, which provided the students with an excellent opportunity to learn about space science, remote sensing, GIS, satellite communication, disaster management, and modern geospatial technologies.
The visit was highly informative and inspiring. It broadened the students' understanding of modern technologies and encouraged them to explore careers in science, technology, and research. Very much thankful to Dr. Dibyajyoti Chutia, Senior Scientist and Head and Siddhartha Bhuyan, Scientist, GeoInformatics and IT Division, NESAC.
Overall, the educational trip was a valuable learning experience and greatly benefited all participants

Third day of the workshop in the department of Bioscience, AIMT, included lots of lab works, certificate distribution, valedictory session etc. The cultural part was just amazing. It was really wonderful to welcome students from different colleges and universities to our institute and to say formal good bye after the completion of the workshop.

2nd day of the workshop, today's theme was bioentrepreneurship. Resource persons were Mr. Ranjit Baruah, proprietor of Aromica Tea, Mrs. Aditi Gohain, Proprietor of Aiseng Winery and Ms. Chinmoyee Rajkumari, proprietor of Nutrixeric. From the sharing of their expertise in their respective field to showcasing of their products, everything was very wonderful. Students got exposure to different paths of entrepreneurship.

Glimpses of the first day of three days inter college workshop on the theme "Microbiology, Bioentrepreneurship and Sustainability", started from today, organised by Department of Bioscience, AIMT, in association with DigiTech Biosolutions, Guwahati.The esteemed chief guest of honour of todays event was Dr. Probodh Borah, Director of Research, Assam Veterinary and Fishery University, Khanapara. Students from different colleges and universities participated in this event.

Faculty members from Asian Institute of Management and Technology attended the 7-day national-level Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “NEP 2020: Integrating Generative AI, Interactive e-Contents and Advanced Technologies in Higher Education.” The programme focused on the effective implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 framework through innovative digital and AI-enabled teaching methodologies. Faculty participants gained valuable insights into outcome-based education, digital pedagogy, e-content development, and technology-driven classroom engagement.

An Industrial visit was organised by the Department of Bioscience on 18th May, 2026 at Marico Ltd, Kamrup, District. Students got exposure to field activities in an industrial environment.
