Winners at Commonomics Meet – SWARANJALI: Echoes of Change Through Folk Tunes.
We are thrilled to share that our talented students from The HDFC School, Gurgaon —Rishabh Aggarwal, Arshpreet Singh Kohli, and Aarav Verma of Grade IX, along with Samriddhi Gupta of Grade XII—secured ‘First Prize’ in The Folksong event SWARANJALI: Echoes of Change Through Folk Tunes, held at DAV Public School, Sector 14, Gurgaon, as part of the Commonomics Meet.

In this unique and thought-provoking competition, participants harmoniously blended the timeless essence of Indian folk music with the dynamic spirit of subscription based business model. Through vibrant rhythms and poignant lyrics, our students used their voices as instruments of awareness and change, creatively capturing the challenges and transformations shaping contemporary commerce.

We applaud their outstanding achievement and the passion with which they brought this innovative vision to life!

We are delighted to share that our school team, Samad Khan (Grade XI), Yashmit Gaur (Grade X), and Muskaan K. Walia (Grade X), proudly represented us at the sixth edition of Infinitus Reus 2025, DPS R.K. Puram’s prestigious annual quizzing festival, held on Saturday, 17th May.

This year’s theme, FLAMES, explored a vibrant blend of Fashion, Literature, Art, Music, and Sports. Competing against 89 top schools from across the NCR, our students advanced through two rigorous rounds and secured a place among the top six finalists.

Their outstanding performance showcased not only deep subject knowledge but also sharp critical thinking and excellent teamwork.

The Indian Society for Technical and Management Training (ISTM) and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) collaborated to conduct a Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop on 25 and 26 April, 2025 at the HDFC School Gurgaon. The objective was to equip teachers with the skills and knowledge necessary to become Resource persons. A total of 104 participants (including Principals, Vice- Principals, Coordinators, and teachers) were present from various CBSE-affiliated schools from Delhi-NCR.

During the workshop, participants learned effective training techniques, including adult learning principles and experiential learning. They gained skills in creating engaging content, designing modules, and assessments. The participants also practiced facilitation techniques, including managing group dynamics and encouraging participation. Furthermore, they understood the role and responsibilities of a resource person, including mentoring and supporting other educators.

The trained trainers were equipped to support other educators and contribute to the development of quality education in CBSE-affiliated schools.

We are delighted to share that Ritika Saini of Grade X from The HDFC School won the First Prize at the ‘Pour It on Paper’ Inter-School Poetry Competition, held on May 8, 2025, at Shiv Nadar School, Gurgaon.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from several reputed schools, with students presenting original poems on a wide range of themes. It was a celebration of literary creativity, inspiring young minds to explore and express their thoughts through the power of poetry.

Ritika’s piece stood out for its evocative imagery, emotional depth, and thoughtful composition. Her poem impressed the judges with its maturity, originality, and distinctive poetic voice. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Ritika on this remarkable achievement. Her passion for writing and creative expression continues to inspire both her peers and teachers.

Congratulations to our budding chess champions, Diana Luthra of Grade IIID and Teishaa Luthra of Grade IIIC, for their remarkable performance at the 29th Haryana State Chess Championship 2025 – Under 7 Category, held on May 3rd and 4th at SRM University, Sonipat. Diana showcased exceptional skill and secured the second rank, while Teishaa impressed with a strong performance, securing the fourth rank. We are proud of their dedication, strategic thinking, and sportsmanship. Keep shining!
