Success Beyond Marks
A special morning assembly on the theme “Success Beyond Marks” was conducted by the students of Class XE in the auditorium of DAV Public School, Sector 14, Gurugram. The programme included a thought for the day, an inspiring speech, a vocabulary enrichment activity, and a meaningful Nukkad Natak. Through their presentations, the students conveyed that true success lies in pursuing one’s passion with dedication and confidence. They also cited examples of famous personalities who achieved success by following their interests and talents. All the students participated enthusiastically and displayed excellent coordination. The assembly also included a prize distribution ceremony wherein students who had participated and excelled in various inter-school events were felicitated for their achievements. In addition, NCC cadets were awarded certificates in recognition of their dedication and disciplined efforts, encouraging them to continue striving for excellence.
The assembly concluded on an uplifting note, leaving the audience motivated with the understanding that success is multidimensional and can be attained through commitment, talent, and passion.

Inter-House Solo Song Competition for Grade 6 was held with great enthusiasm and musical spirit on May 20, 2026. The event provided a wonderful platform for students to showcase their vocal talent, confidence, and passion for music. Participants from all the houses mesmerized the audience with their melodious performances, soulful expressions, and stage presence.
The competition highlighted not only the musical abilities of the students but also the importance of art and culture in holistic education. Each performance reflected dedication, practice, and creativity, making the event both entertaining and inspiring. The judges appreciated the students for their confidence, voice modulation, rhythm, and overall presentation.
Such competitions help in nurturing self-expression, boosting confidence, and encouraging students to appreciate the beauty of music. The event concluded on a cheerful note with applause for all participants and appreciation for the efforts of the students and teachers who made the programme successful.

As a part of *COMMONOMICS MEET 2026, the students of **Class XII* of DAV Public School, Sector 14, Gurugram presented an engaging and thought-provoking play for the students of Grades III, IV, and V at DAV Public School, Sector 10A, Gurugram on 20 May 2026, showcasing the fascinating journey of *CHOCO*—from cocoa farms and milk collection to factory production, packaging, and finally reaching consumers’ homes.
Blending creativity with commerce concepts, the presentation transformed learning into an enjoyable experiential journey, leaving young minds inspired and curious while making economics fun and relatable.
The students of Class XII also conducted a fun activity titled “Money Mania Bingo” for Class V students. Through the bingo game, students learned basic commerce and economics terms such as Market, Buyer, Worker, Delivery, Bill, Online Shopping, Farmer, Factory and Price in an engaging and interactive way.

To enhance students’ oratory skills and confidence, an English Extempore Competition was conducted on 19 May 2026 for Grades VII-VIII. The participants articulated their thoughts eloquently on a diverse range of topics, exhibiting commendable spontaneity, fluency, and intellectual depth. The event served as an enriching platform for students to refine their communication skills and develop self-assurance in public speaking.

On 18 May 2026, DAV Public School, Sector-14, Gurugram proudly welcomed its distinguished alumna Kamya Bhardwaj (2023–24 batch) for an inspiring and interactive session with students. Kamya, Haryana’s first-ever channel swimmer, has brought immense pride to the nation through her remarkable achievements in open-water swimming. Her latest accomplishment includes successfully completing the double-way Palk Strait swim (India–Sri Lanka–India) in an extraordinary 18 hours and 15 minutes on 13 April 2026, thereby creating a new Indian national record. With this achievement, she became the youngest Indian female and only the second Indian woman to complete this challenging feat.
The session proved highly motivating as students enthusiastically interacted with her and asked insightful questions about how she balanced academics with swimming, her daily fitness routine, and whether she had ever faced gender bias in sports. Kamya answered each query with confidence and positivity, encouraging students to pursue their dreams with discipline, resilience, and determination.
