HR Academic Club of Management Development Institute, Gurgaon The academic club for HR at Management Development Institute, Gurgaon was launched in 2005.

In keeping with the spirit of the name, HR Direction conducts regular industry sessions and organizes competitions for management students across the country. The members of the club invite corporate heads in HR, as well as leading academics to help students gain insights into the latest developments in Human Resoures. HR Direction also facilitates Live Projects to give the students hands on exper

ience in the world of Human Resource Management. It works on increasing corporate interactions as well and facilitating sessions headed by Alumni on burning issues in the HR domain. The club also organizes regular events the flagship event being Eleusis. This is a three day event, organized under the umbrella of Imperium – the annual B-School Fest at MDI Gurgaon. The event comprises a multitude of sub events like:
• Enthaa
An audio/Visual quiz/crossword intertwined with Business/Human Resource/Organizational Behavior themes.
• Quest of Leonidas
A Game to test the participants’ logic, strategic thinking and decision making abilities; entails a case study, presentation and business scenario simulation.
• Tarak
It is a HR simulation game which takes the participant to a different level of simulation games every year. It is an event to test your expertise gained in MBA along with analytical skills, and ability to think on feet.
• Labor of Hercules
The participating team is given the challenge of various Competitive outbound activities: Rappelling, rock climbing, trekking and rope course etc. It explores a blend of expertise, skill sets, endurance and working in an outdoor physical setting. This is a competition where the competing teams are expected to display physical endurance, mental agility and work together to overcome various challenges thrown at them. HR Direction also comes out with a monthly newsletter – Human Reflection - which expounds on new and relevant themes in the HR domain to enrich the knowledge base of the student body.

Mr. Chirag has also worked in Asian Paints for over 7 years holding the positions like Corporate ER, and Executive-HR. Introducing Poonam Bharti, a stellar HR professional with more than 25 years of experience in Strategic HR and Operations HR. She is currently serving as the Executive Director and Chief Human Resources Officer at Shriram Piston & Rings. Her experience has encompassed multiple industries such as automation, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, IT services, etc. She has also built her presence in the industry while serving at multiple organizations such as Wanbury Limited, McCormick & Company, and Sun Pharmaceuticals amongst others. She is also an alumna of TATA Institute of Social Sciences, with a degree in MA - Human Resources.

He is the founder of Ebullient consultancy that focuses on redefining leading and learning paradigms. Sandeep is an Indian Latin and ballroom dancer, bollywood choreographer, actor, columnist, dance reality show judge, radio Jockey and a Ted X speaker as one of our speakers offline panel discussion. He is the recipient of the Rabindranath Tagore Literary Prize for Social Achievement and the prestigious Bharat Gaurav Samaan given by the Ministry of Culture at The House of Lords, London, UK. The renowned 'Dance Today' Magazine, USA, rates Sandip as one of the '100 most influential dancers in the world.
