* Homework *

"Why your homework is not complete?"
The teacher was scolding him in utmost anger.
His head was down, his eyes started shedding tears, he wiped the tears with his palm and in his low voice he whispered..
" Yesterday, the street light was not working and before night I have to help my mother in ironing the clothes."
The teacher's mercury level got down, she was unable to utter a single word.
Those words touched her so much that she couldn't sleep that night. But next day when she woke up she had decided to make that student smile.
She called the student and gave him a table lamp which could operate on battery. Foremost, he denied to accept, but when she insisted more he took it and beamed a grin.
After that day he never failed to finish his homework. And the teacher found a strange satisfaction which could only be felt by doing something for others.
