Special Lecture on Women Warriors of Bharat Varsha

Today, K*m. Sharneshwari Reshmi Women’s B.Ed College, in collaboration with the Women Empowerment Cell and NSS Unit, organized a special lecture in association with Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh, Karnataka, on the theme “Women Warriors of Bharat Varsha.”

The session was a tribute to the indomitable spirit, courage, and altruism of the great women freedom fighters of Bharat.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Shubhangi D. C., Regional Director, VTU, Kalaburagi, highlighted the crucial and multifaceted role of women in India’s freedom struggle.

The Resource Person, Dr. Surekha Jewargi, Assistant Professor, Department of History, GFGC Afzalpur, inspired the audience by narrating the heroic stories of Ahilyabai Holkar, Keladi Chennamma, and Rani Abbakka. She emphasized how their sacrifices and defiance against societal norms shaped history and strengthened the nation’s spirit of resistance.

The session provided valuable insights into the contributions of women warriors, helping participants understand history more accurately and appreciate the immense sacrifices made for the nation.
