Checked on Rameshwari Ma'am at her residence and also met there Padma Ma'am. Fond memories of school days revisited.

It gives us immense pleasure to share that our alumnus Sangeeta Barooah Pisharoty has made history by becoming the First Woman President of the Press Club of India.

She has also become the first journalist from Northeast India to lead this prestigious national institution in its 68-year history.

Ms. Barooah secured 1,019 votes, decisively defeating her opponent, highlighting strong support from the journalistic fraternity.

We congratulate her on this outstanding feat and at the same time wishing her continued success and growth in all future endeavors!

As per the schedule, a few of us attended today's meeting for organizing our 'Alumni Meet' in October.

We have finalized the date to be 13th October, 2024, Sunday (just next day of Vijaya Dashami).

Tentative Itinerary:

1. Lighting of Lamp
2. Chorus
3. Felicitation of Ex-Teachers
4. Felicitation of 1st Batch of Alumni
5. Interactive Session (Speech/Song from Alumni)
6. Food & Refreshment (Will be served simultaneously to the Interactive Session)
7. Lunch
8. Break
9. Cultural Evening
a) Chorus
b) Limited items from select Alumni
c) Special Attraction (Artist to be finalized)

As informed earlier, the aim is to have maximum participation and representation from all batches.

Hence requesting all to send in your inputs in time so that we may be able to accommodate them as far as practicable.

We have kept the registration fee at Rs.500/- per Alumnus and we can contribute anything beyond that. We will share the details for fund transfer soon.

We hereby request you all to volunteer and identify a batch co-ordinator to make things a bit easier.

The history of Mother’s Day dates back to the spring celebration to honour Goddess Rhea, the mother of gods in ancient Greek civilization.

Ann Reeves Jarvis - a Sunday school teacher, inspired her daughter, Anna Jarvis, to create Mother's Day to commemorate mothers for their service to humanity.

Anna Jarvis celebrated Mother’s Day privately in 1907 to mark her mother’s birthday. As its popularity grew, the then US President Woodrow Wilson, in 1914, declared the second Sunday in May to be celebrated as Mother’s Day.

So, here's wishing all the amazing Mothers a day full of joy, warmth and happiness!❤

It gives immense pleasure to share with you all that we have successfully completed the felicitation ceremony of our young achievers - our latest batch of alumni, for their success in HSLC-2024.

This could have only been possible because of collaboration and great team effort.

First and foremost I thank our Headmistress Bijaya Borah Ma'am who invited us to re-invigorate the Alumni Association and gave us the opportunity to jointly organise this felicitation ceremony in the school premises.

I extend our sincere thanks to Birina Dutta (Debahuti Dutta) Baa, President of Kushal Konwar Balya Bhawan Alumni Association for her time and support from inception.

Our special thanks to Sanjib Kumar Das Da, our senior alumnus and the current President of School Management Development Committee - for being the guiding force.

My sincere thanks to all the office bearers of KKBB Alumni Association for their support, co-operation and great teamwork.

At the same time, I thank all our respected teachers for their never ending love.

I thank all the young achievers for your attendance and all those who graced this occasion today.
