Partial Lunar Eclipse 2023

On 28, 2023 grazed through ‘s shadow and we witnessed a
The eclipse was partial and only a part of moon went through Earth’s umbral shadow. The moon was entirely under Earth’s penumbral shadow.

The shape of shadow shows Earth is round and shape of Earth was discovered or realised through watching eclipses.
Lunar eclipse will take place in 2025. Till then enjoy…

Astrophile Education is proud to collaborate with Nehru Memorial Museum & Library and Nehru Planetarium for organising a summer camp in Delhi. Students between grade 7-9 are welcome to participate.
Date: May 30 - 03 June, 2023
Time 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon*
Venue: Nehru Planetarium, Teen Murti Marg, New Delhi

Take home: 2' Refractor telescope which the students will make and learn to use in this camp.
