Report on Tiranga Yatra and Skating Road Show in Celebration of 78th Independence Day.

In celebration of India’s 78th Independence Day, St. Mary’s Convent School, Ghansali, organized a grand Tiranga Yatra and Skating Road Show on August 14, 2024.
The Tiranga Yatra was inaugurated by Shri. Narendra Dangwal, the president of merchant association Ghansali
along with the manager Rev. Fr. Jakson, Rev. Sr. Shalom the Principal, sisters and teachers.
The event aimed to instill patriotism among students and the local community .
The Tiranga Yatra and Skating Road Show commenced at 9:00 AM from the school premises. Over 80 students participated in the event, proudly carrying the national flag and chanting patriotic slogans. The students were accompanied by teachers, staff members, police personnel and volunteers who ensured the smooth ex*****on of the event.

The yatra covered a route from the school to the main market area of Ghansali. The students on skates added a unique and energetic element to the road show, attracting the attention of the local community.

Solo Dance competition for the students of Junior group classes 6 to 8 and senior group 9&10 at St. Mary’s Convent School, Ghansali, held on 3 August

On 3 August 2024, St. Mary's Convent School, Ghansali, held an enthralling Solo Dance Competition for students of classes 6 to 10 in the school auditorium. The event was organized by the Cultural Committee and aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their dancing talents.

The competition began at 8 AM emphasizing the importance of extracurricular activities in the holistic development of students.

A total of 20 students participated in the competition, presenting a variety of dance forms including classical, folk, contemporary, and Bollywood. The participants captivated the audience with their energetic performances, creative choreography, and impressive stage presence. The audience, comprising students, teachers, and parents, cheered enthusiastically for each performer, creating a vibrant and supportive atmosphere.

The esteemed panel of judges included:
1. Ms. Rakhi a renowned classical dancer.
2. Ms. Jennifer a professional choreographer.
3. Sr. Dana, a lover of dance and born dancer.

The celebration began with a special assembly in the school auditorium. The students, teachers, and staff gathered to participate in the festivities. The event commenced with a welcome dance by the students of classes 3&4 invoking blessings for Sr. Shalom and the school community.

The Phool Dei celebration at St. Mary's Convent School Ghansali was held on 22 March 2024 commemorating the beauty and significance of flowers in our lives and the environment. The event aimed to foster appreciation for nature and promote environmental awareness among Students. A variety of cultural performances, including dances , speech and songs highlighted the cultural importance of flowers in different traditions and celebrations.
Cultural performances provided a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage associated with flowers across various communities in Uttarakhand very specially.
The Phool Dei celebration in the school was a resounding success, fostering a deeper appreciation for nature and promoting environmental consciousness among students. Through creative activities and educational initiatives, the event succeeded in celebrating the beauty of flowers while also imparting valuable lessons about environmental sustainability.

The Vidhyarambh ceremony, also known as the initiation of learning, is a sacred tradition, observed in St. Mary's Convent School Ghansali on 16 March 2024.Rev. Fr. Jakson the manager, Sr. Shalom the Principal, Sisters and the teachers were present for the program.
It was a vibrant and auspicious event, attended by students and parents.
The ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the manager , principal, teacher representative and parent representative, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge and wisdom. The senior students blessed them with tilak , symbolizing their support and encouragement in their educational journey.
The highlight of the ceremony was the Vidhyarambh ritual, where students were initiated into the world of learning by tracing alphabets on a plate of rice, symbolizing the beginning of their educational voyage.
The ceremony was adorned with cultural performances by students, showcasing the rich heritage and diversity of Indian traditions.
As they embark on their educational journey, may they be guided by the light of knowledge and wisdom, leading to a bright and prosperous future.The parents were made aware of the activities of Nursery class for the whole year. After a short interaction with the management and teachers the parents dispersed. Special sweets were distributed to all. The Vidhyarambh ceremony was a memorable and inspiring occasion.
