π World Environment Day 2026 Celebrated at IA Ayurvedic Medical College, USTM, Meghalaya π±
On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, IA Ayurvedic Medical College, USTM, Meghalaya, organized a series of meaningful activities to promote environmental awareness and inspire climate action among students and faculty members.
The celebration commenced with a Drawing Competition based on the theme "Climate Action Begins With Us." Students enthusiastically showcased their creativity and concern for the environment through vibrant and thought-provoking artworks highlighting climate change, conservation of nature, afforestation, and sustainable living.
Following the competition, a World Environment Day Rally was conducted within the campus premises. Students, faculty members participated actively, carrying playcards and raising awareness slogans emphasizing the importance of environmental protection, pollution control, and responsible use of natural resources.
The programme concluded with a Plantation Drive, where saplings were planted across the campus to reinforce the message of environmental stewardship and sustainability. The activity reflected the institution's commitment to creating a greener and healthier future for generations to come.
The event served as a reminder that every individual has a vital role to play in protecting our planet and that collective efforts can bring significant positive change. The Board of Studies Meeting for the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) programme was successfully convened today at IA Ayurvedic Medical College, USTM, Meghalaya.
The meeting was held at the Conference Hall, Academic Block, with the esteemed participation of Board of Studies members, subject experts, and faculty representatives. The deliberations focused on academic excellence, curriculum enhancement, implementation of NCISM guidelines, quality improvement in teaching-learning processes, and adoption of coarse curriculum of upcoming 3rd professional department along with their facilities.
