Special National Integration Camp (SNIC) Mini Camp – 2026
A total of 10 cadets from the Handique Girls’ College NCC Unit participated in the Special National Integration Camp (SNIC) Mini Camp held at Kokrajhar from 20 to 24 February 2026.
As part of the cultural segment of the SNIC Kokrajhar Marathon, the cadets performed the traditional Bare Boronia dance, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Assam. The performance was presented in the presence of the Honourable Governor, the ADG, NER NCC, and other respected dignitaries, with the cadets proudly representing the 60 Assam Girls Battalion NCC.
The event provided the cadets with an opportunity to promote cultural unity, confidence, teamwork, and national integration through artistic expression and active participation.

Sundays On Cycle – 2026
On 12 April 2026, five cadets of the Handique Girls’ College NCC Unit participated in the “Sundays On Cycle” event held at the SAI Stadium, organised by SAI, Paltan Bazar.
The cadets took part in the cycling activity in support of the initiative’s motto promoting fitness, awareness, and an active lifestyle. The event encouraged physical well-being, discipline, and community participation while inspiring youth to adopt healthy habits through sports and outdoor activities.

3rd Rajabala Das National Award Ceremony and Annual Lecture – 2026
Cadets of the Handique Girls’ College NCC Unit actively participated in the 3rd Rajabala Das National Award Ceremony and Annual Lecture held on 08 March 2026 at Handique Girls’ College.
The event was graced by two of the most renowned Assamese journalists, whose presence added significance and intellectual value to the programme. The ceremony highlighted the importance of journalism, social awareness, and meaningful public discourse. The cadets contributed to the smooth conduct of the event with discipline, coordination, and active involvement.

On the occasion of National Science Day held on 28 February 2026, cadets of the Handique Girls’ College NCC Unit participated in the programme by providing piloting honours for the respected chief guest, Jadav Payeng.

The Cyber Hygiene Internship Programme was organized jointly by the NCC Unit and NSS Unit of Handique Girls’ College in collaboration with India Future Foundation on 27/2/2026.
The primary objective of the programme was to create awareness among students about cyber security, digital responsibility,
and safe online practices in an increasingly technology-driven world. The internship aimed to equip students with practical knowledge regarding cyber threats, data protection, and ethical digital behavior.
The resource persons for the programme were Shalini Rathore and Shikhar Dwivedi, who delivered comprehensive and engaging sessions.

A Career Counseling and Professional Guidance Programme was organized by the NCC Unit of Handique Girls’ College in collaboration with Abhigyan Academy.
The programme was conducted with the objective of guiding students towards suitable career paths and equipping them with essential knowledge regarding competitive examinations and professional opportunities after graduation.
The resource person for the programme was Swapneel Sarma, who delivered an informative and motivating session.

25 cadets of the HGC NCC Unit successfully completed the 7-Day Civil Defence Camp held from 15th to 21st with great enthusiasm and dedication.

Throughout the camp, the cadets remained highly active and engaged in various training sessions, including CPR, disaster response techniques, rescue operations, and IRB (Inflatable Rubber Boat) handling. Their discipline, teamwork, and eagerness to learn were clearly reflected in every activity.

Apart from the technical training, the cadets also showcased a vibrant cultural performance, adding spirit and unity to the camp environment.

The camp proved to be a valuable and enriching experience, strengthening their confidence, preparedness, and commitment to service. 🇮🇳💪
