Celebration of International Leopard Day 2024 by Department of Zoology and EcoClub, S.B. Deorah College on 03/05/2024, where students gave awareness talk about different leopards in India.

Congratulations to Ms. Priyambada Chutia, Assistant Professor, Dept. Of Zoology, S.B. Deorah College, Guwahati, for your achievements. We are proud of you, for bringing such laurels to the institution and entire North East Region.

Ms. Priyambada Chutia from Assam Naval Unit NCC, NER Dte stood first in the overall order of merit in Naval Subject at the recently concluded PRCN coure at OTA, Gwalior! She also received certificate of excellency in .22 firing, Lecture IP and naval practical training.

Visit to College of Fisheries (AAU) Raha, Nogaon by 6th semester honours and regular students of Zoology Department, S. B. Deorah College, in collaboration with Department of Zoology, Pandu College, on 17/03/2023.

A total of 15 students participated in the exposure trip, supervised by Ms. Priyambada Chutia and Ms. Puja Bishaya, Assistant Professors, Department of Zoology, S. B. Deorah College.

In the trip, the students interacted with the faculty members of the institute, visited the laboratories and also participated in a hands on training on fish pickle making.

For the partial fulfillment of Zoology 1st Semester practical paper, the department of Zoology, S.B. Deorah College went for a field trip to Orang National Park on 13/11/2021.

The students learnt about wild fauna and flora, ecosystems types and different conservation practices.

A total of 10 students participated in the trip, which supervised by Ms. Priyambada Chutia and Ms. Puja Bishaya, Assistant Professors, Department of Zoology, S.B. Deorah College.

We would like to thank DFO, Mangaldai Wildlife Division for helping us organise the trip and for arranging a special briefing session by Ms. Momi (Forester, Orang NP).
