NEF College of Health Sciences successfully organized a hands-on Basic Life Support (BLS) training on 2nd May 2026 in collaboration with *Devottom Foundation*

The program commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting in the presence of our respected Principal, Dr. Pallabi Goswami (PT), principals from other NEF group colleges, and Administrative Officer Mrs. Padumi Deka.

The session was led by Dr. (Maj) Dipam Kr. Barman, who trained students in essential life-saving BLS techniques, making it an engaging and practical learning experience.

An enriching session that empowered students with crucial emergency response skills.

On the occasion of World Epilepsy Awareness Day, NEF College of Health Sciences organized an awareness program in collaboration with Hayat Hospital.

The session featured an informative talk by Dr. Akshay Bhutada (MBBS, DNB – General Medicine, DM – Neurology), who provided valuable insights into epilepsy, including its causes, symptoms, diagnosis, and management

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Pallabi Goswami, Principal of NEF College of Health Sciences. Principals from other NEF group colleges were also present, along with the Administrative Officer of the NEF College.

The program was highly beneficial for students, offering comprehensive exposure and enhancing their understanding of epilepsy.

Ahead of International Women’s Day, a Free Health Check-up and Physiotherapy Camp was organized on 7th March,2026 at NEF College of Health Sciences, Lokhra. The initiative was conducted to promote health awareness, preventive care, and overall wellbeing within the community.

The camp provided physiotherapy consultations, basic health screenings, and guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Community members had the opportunity to interact with healthcare professionals and receive useful advice regarding common health concerns and preventive care.

The event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of our students and faculty members, who worked together with commitment and compassion to serve the community. Their participation reflected the true spirit of healthcare—service, empathy, and responsibility toward society.

Organizing this camp ahead of International Women’s Day was a meaningful way to highlight the importance of health and wellbeing, while also recognizing the contributions and strength of women in our society.

Students of NEF College of Health Science had an enriching and insightful visit to Palon Rewalk under the visionary leadership of our respected Principal, Dr. Pallabi Goswami(PT). The main objective of this visit was to provide students with exposure to the latest advancements and emerging technologies in the field of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.

During the visit, students explored various innovative approaches such as AI-driven therapies, Brain–Computer Interface (BCI), exo-robotics, and other modern rehabilitation techniques that are transforming patient care worldwide. This hands-on experience helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world clinical applications.

Such initiatives reflect our commitment to nurturing future physiotherapists by equipping them with advanced skills, knowledge, and confidence to meet the evolving demands of healthcare.

The closing ceremony of NEF Group of Institutions's annual sports week was a spectacular celebration of talent, passion, and togetherness. Our brilliant students lit up the stage with mesmerizing performances, making the finale truly unforgettable.

A heartfelt thanks to our esteemed guest artists Maniul Haque and Kankana Bhagawati- whose soulful performances gave the cultural extravaganza a perfect and powerful ending.
