An intense, one-day Inter-School 17 and Under Boys Futsal Tournament was successfully completed at Paljor Stadium on the 18th of September. Managed by TSE, five brave teams vied for a shining trophy under a scorching sun. Padma Odzer Choling School (POCS) took the Winners Trophy, beating every opponent they played in this intense league format, with the final game ending 5-4, against Taktse International School's A Team, the Runners Up. Baha'i School Saramsa made a strong showing, with their teammate Anjal Sharma bagging the Best Goalkeeper Award. Dupden Lepcha of POCS won Man of the Match, Ugyal Dorji of Taktse took home the Highest Scorer Award while Ingsa S***a, also of Taktse, was given the Player of the Tournament Award. All individual awards were decided by the referees of the Sikkim Armed Police (SAP). Kye De Khang School and Taktse Team B also participated and showed impressive effort. The TSE Managing Team and all players are eternally grateful to the Sports Dept., Govt. of Sikkim, Mr. Thupden Sir, the amazing SAP and the generous Taktse Grandparents who sponsored the event.
