On April 12, 2025, IIT Gandhinagar hosted an insightful Open House Webinar for its newly launched e-Masters in Applications of Machine Learning in Engineering (AMLE).
From decoding the program’s vision to diving into flexible learning pathways, the session brought together aspiring professionals eager to harness ML for real-world engineering impact.
The session highlighted the flexibility designed for working professionals, with weekend/evening live classes and access to recorded lectures. A lively Q&A with the program coordinator wrapped up the event, addressing a wide range of attendee questions about the course structure, learning outcomes, and career prospects.

Snippets from the on-campus Minimum Residency Period of EPR 2023-25 batch:
From hands-on learning to exploring key energy sites, the Energy Policy and Regulation e-masters program at IITGN (9-22, Sept 2024) offered an action-packed residency experience. The program kicked off with an orientation, a FLY activity session, followed by a campus exploration, including visits to the supercomputer lab and library. Participants presented case studies and engaged in a two-day workshop on grid operation management and India’s electricity market, featuring distinguished guest speakers: Mr. Rajesh Mediratta (MD & CEO, IGX), Mr. S.K. Soonee, Prof. Naran Pindoriya, Mr. Kanti Bhuva, Mr. Trilochan Rout, and Prof. Anand Kumar. Technical visits to the Sardar Sarovar Dam, Gujarat State Load Dispatch Centre, Canal Top PV System in Vadodara, ERDA Hitachi Training Centre, and a jungle safari enriched the experience. The program also included visits to the Renewable Energy Investment Summit in Gandhinagar and the Gujarat International Finance-Tech City, offering invaluable exposure to the dynamic energy landscape.

Week 2 Highlights: Immersive Learning in Data Science
The second week of the residency period for the e-Master’s degree program in Data Science in Decision Making, held from 16-22 December 2024 at IIT Gandhinagar, was packed with insights
and action! Participants explored the MIR Lab, attended a special lecture by Prof. Nipun Batra, and enjoyed a memorable gala dinner with distinguished guests. They also had the privilege of attending a guest lecture by Prof. Arun K.T. from IIT Tirupati and an expert lecture by Prof. Arpita Mondal. During the visit to the Research Park, participants engaged in hands-on learning with Mr. K.S. Murthy and Mr. Deepak Agnihotri, who shared valuable insights from their experience. Additionally, a session organized by the GOI- MOSPI provided further depth to the learning experience. The week culminated in an exciting Hackathon, where teams tackled real-world data science challenges. What an incredible finale to this immersive experience! Week 2 was filled with inspiration, and challenges, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. A big thank you to all the experts, guests, and participants for making this journey so special!
