Western philosophy is originated in ANCIENT GREECE , and Greek Philosophy is divided into three periods such as
(1) PRE-SOCRATIC ,it call the rise of GREEK PHILOSOPHY. Ionian, xenophanes, Pythagoras, Heraclitus, Elastics etc. Philosopher are included.
(2) SOPHISTS OF ARISTOTLE,This periods includes both the contemporaries and predecessors of Socrates. Socrates, Plato and Aristotle are included here. And the last one is
(3) POST-ARISTOTELIAN , This period marks the decline of the national thought and it also marks the end of golden age of decay and dissolution. In this period includes stoics the Europeans and the pyrrhonists.
