Exactly four years ago, 23 May 2022, we received our Certificate of Incorporation — and the mission got its name. We are so proud of our journey in advancing Geological and Planetary Sciences. ✨

We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the IIREES GEO-GENIUS Field Expedition Programme.

Over the past several days, participants travelled across remarkable geological terrains, learning directly from nature through field observations, discussions, and hands-on geological investigations. The expedition brought together enthusiastic students, researchers, and professionals who shared a common passion for field geology and earth science exploration.

This programme was designed to promote critical thinking, observational skills, and real-world geological understanding—values that lie at the core of IIREES’ vision for geoscience education in India.

A heartfelt thank you to all participants, mentors, and collaborators whose energy and commitment made this expedition a great success. Your curiosity and enthusiasm truly made the field come alive.

IIREES proudly presents Geo-Genius Kutch 2026 — a 7 Nights / 8 Days immersive geological field expedition across the rugged landscapes of Kutch, Gujarat. From Mesozoic stratigraphy, Coastal geomorphology and extinct volcanoes to impact craters, fossil beds, Harappan archaeology, and Martian analogue terrains, this programme is designed to transform classroom knowledge into real-world scientific insight.
