1. Change the formula to =SUM(B2:E2) instead of adding individual cells. This approach automatically ignores non-numeric values and calculates the total correctly.
2. If specific cells need to be included and the teacher can't use SUM, they can manually adjust the formula to only include numeric cells.
This trick helps the teacher avoid errors and calculate total marks accurately even if some cells contain non-numeric values.
